Barun Deb (b. 1966, Kolkata) is a contemporary artist who graduated with a B.V.A. from the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, in 1998. Since then, he has actively participated in numerous group exhibitions, including at the Academy of Fine Arts (1998–2002, 2017, 2019, 2022), Birla Academy of Art & Culture (1999–2004, 2010), Jahangir Art Gallery, Mumbai (2004, 2016), G.C. Laha Centenary Fine Arts Gallery (2011), and Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore (2006, 2007, 2011). His works were also featured at Somokol Art Gallery, Kolkata (2007), and in several Contemporary Artists Circle showcases.
 
He attended the Chintamoni Kar Memorial Art Workshop (2006) and received an award in painting from Shree Cement, Kolkata (2003). His paintings are part of many private collections in India and abroad, reflecting his ongoing engagement with contemporary visual expression.
